Pop Corn Popping On The Apracot Tree

I looked out the window and what did I see?? Pop corn popping on the apricot tree!!!

When I was growing up and we sang this song in primary I always thought it was strange. How could pop corn be popping on a tree??? Well this spring when our little apricot tree started blossoming it did look a lot like pop corn kernels getting ready to pop!

This particualar type of Apricot tree is actually called a Katie Apricot!

One of the reasons I wanted to get it :)

Holy Cow She Rolls!

Ok I have to admit this was like two months ago but I stink at blogging. We all know this. But I forgot to talk about the first time Adell rolled over, "for reals". I say "for reals" because she had rolled over a couple of times before this but then didn't do it for a few weeks and we were getting frustrated. So when I was sitting in the back of the Primary room at church I was telling a friend all about how Adell just refuses to roll over. No sooner were the words out of my mouth then flip, Adell turned over. Crazy girl. I think she did it just to prove me wrong. I thought maybe that was another fluke but I laid her on her tummyagain and soon enough plop, over again like she knew all along how to do it she just decided that today was the day. And I was not so reverently hopping up and down and cheering :)

When we got home from church I took a few pictures of her trying to roll over again just to have something to remember the moment. So here she is practicing.

Man she is growing up so fast!

Finger Painting Fun

We decided it would be fun to let Adell help us finger paint so we spread out an old sheet, put down some cardboard and started to paint. I was busy making flowers and ponds when the next thing I know I look over and I see Kevin has been hard at work "helping Adell paint"

It was only a matter of time before she was all covered in paint. Kevin just sped up the process. And well I have to admit I decided to help.

Don't worry I also helped Adell paint Daddy! Serves him right!

As you can see he is all broken up about it.

Mt. Lemon Snow Trip

Since we had so much fun playing in the snow in Payson we decided to have another day in the snow. This time on Mount Lemon in Tucson AZ.
For those who are thinking it's the middle of March and like 90 degrees in Arizona already, well your right. This was a trip we took in January. I am just a slow blogger.
As my family already knows :)

I can't get over how cute Adell is in her little bear suit!

There wasn't as much snow as I was use to growing up in Star Valley Wyoming but we did manage to find a great hill for sledding.

We all had a great time getting away for the day and enjoying the very limited snow season.

So darn cute! and the baby isn't half bad either :)

I forgot how exhausting running up hills in the snow could be. Thankfully Adell was just as tired as mommy so we just laid on our sled and took a nap in the warm sun.

Oliver had a great time too. Running up and down, up and down and all around. He was constantly on the move. With him moving around so much it was amazing that I got even this shot of him.

He was ready to crash by the end of the day. And apparently the best pillow around was mommy's arm as she was trying to navigate down the mountain.
NOT DISTRACTING AT ALL :)

Overall a fun day for everyone!!

Fun With Food

Adell has been learning how to use a spoon.
At meal times we will give her a little taste
of peas, carrots, potatoes or whatever else we are eating.
But the other night we had an ice cream sundae and decided to share.

I think she liked it :)

Oh wait I missed some.

Wow I think I'm done.

Another time we also let her have a little spoon of peanut butter.
And well, she loved that too of course.
