Anniversary Trail

Pretty flowers all over the place were in bloom while we were camping. It was great to see the different colors and the wonderful smells they bring to the environment. We even collected some and put them in a book that Katie brought along to flatten and use in our scrap booking endeavors. Katie looks fabulous in the flowers doesn't she?

Loved your blog and pics, especially the pics in the desert flowers. Sounds like a great camping spot! Where was the trailhead? and where is oak flats? Have you looked at it on GoogleEarth? You can see it from a satellite pic and follow the trail as we do to check out our ATV trails.

The trailhead is called the Miles Trail head it is on the public access road way 287. The road cuts off the highway 60 about 5 miles south of Globe. The road goes through the BHP Mine grounds for about 5-10 miles. Then continues on about 10-15 more miles to the trail head. There are two Oak Flats. One is a campground directly off the highway 60. The other is the actual campground area Katie and I stayed at.
